USPHL Premier Midwest Showcase Day 3

The USPHL Premier Midwest Showcase at Fogerty Ice Arena in Blaine, Minn had another four games played on the penultimate day of action at the Fogerty Ice Arena in Blaine, Minn. On Saturday – Day 3.

Following are game results in the order they were played

 

Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings 2 Rum River Mallards 1

Haralds Jirgens (‘00/Riga, Latvia scored in the second half of the final period to lift the Riverkings to the win while Matt Server (‘99/St. Louis, Mo.) turned aside all but one of the 28 shots he faced). 

The win wrapped up the Showcase for the Riverkings who won three of four. The Mallards fell to 2-1 and will wrap up their weekend tomorrow.

 

Hudson Havoc 9 Steele County Blades 2 

This was a one-goal game halfway through the middle period, but the final six goals came off Havoc sticks to make this one a lopsided contest. 

Evan Mitchell (‘01/Liberty Township, Ohio) scored three times to pace the Havoc with Dylan Marty (‘00/New Richmond, Wis.) adding two others.
 

Minnesota Moose 5 Dells Ducks 2 

The Moose scored twice in each of the first two periods to carry a 4-1 lead into the final session.

Justin Dumont (‘00/Atlanta, Ga.) fired the game winner in the second period.

 

Minnesota Blue Ox 7 Rochester Vipers 2 

The Blue Ox scored two in each of the first two periods to move away from the Vipers, then added three more down the stretch.

Abay Mangisbayev (‘01/Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan) scored three for the OX and Livari Pihlajaniemi (01/Pori, Finland) fired the game winner.
