ForwardLogan Myers, Palmyra Black Knights

There was not a game in October where Myers (‘04/York, Pa.) scored a single point - because he never scored just one. After scoring five points over his first nine games through the end of September, Myers exploded for 12 points in just five league games in October. This consisted of three two-point outings and a pair of three-point games.

This offensive outburst helped lead the Black Knights to a tie for first at 12-1-1, thanks to going unbeaten in regulation in their last 10.

With 17 points in 14 games, Myers entered November as the 15U Division’s leading scorer.

Honorable Mention

Jeremy Keyes, Utica Jr. Comets

Caleb Patrick, Islanders Hockey Club

Defense: Finnegan Wheeler, Utica Jr. Comets

The Jr. Comets went 4-1 through October (including 3-1 at the Comet-hosted Adirondack Bank 15U Showcase), and Wheeler was all over the ice for the Utica squad, helping them maintain a healthy 2.01 goals against average.

Utica’s goalies only see 21.8 shots on goal per average, so Wheeler (‘04/Syracuse, N.Y.) is helping to lead one of the 15U Division’s stingiest defenses, helping them to a 9-1 overall record.

Offensively, Wheeler was in on seven points in five games, including a two-goal, two-assist game against P.A.L. with a shorthanded Utica squad.

With his 11 points in 10 games, he is the only defenseman in the league with double digits in points and also the only blueliner averaging better than a point per game in the league.

Honorable Mention

Mason Henne, Palmyra Black Knights

Louis McCarthy, Philadelphia Hockey Club

Goaltender: Zack McErlain, Philadelphia Hockey Club

Yes, a 5-0 record does go a long way towards some nice honors, such as Player Of The Month. McErlain (‘04/Gloucester City, N.J.) did just that for Philadelphia in the month of October, stopping 121 of the 132 shots he faced for a .917 save percentage and allowing just 2.20 goals against per game.

Philadelphia has gone 7-0-0-1 in their last eight games, including 6-0 in October, tying Palmyra for first overall in the league with 25 points.

Honorable Mention

Eric West, Palmyra Black Knights

Jake Hitchner, Skipjacks Hockey Club
