Wayne, NJ - The Jersey Hitmen are proud to announce that assistant captain and two year veteran, Patrick Schule, has committed to Northeastern University for the fall of 2015. Currently the second leading scorer in the USPHL Premier division, Schule has been unstoppable this season.

"Patty has been an offensive force for us this year," commented coach Toby Harris. "Last season Patty had a tremendous rookie year scoring 19 goals and putting up 35 points, but this season he has dynamic."

In 33 league games, Schule, has an eye popping 23-29-52 scoring line and is on pace for an 80+ point season.

"Pat is the kind of kid you root for. Comes to the rink everyday ready to work. He is accountable for his actions and is truly a leader by example. I have been amazed at how much Pat has transformed his body and his game since arriving to us in 2013. It is a true testament to Pat's work ethic and will."

Harris continued, "From day one, Patty told me all he wanted to do was play division one hockey. We gave him the blueprint, worked with him to strengthen some parts of his game and he took it from there. I am so excited for Pat and the whole Schule family as this long junior hockey journey has now finally paid dividends."

A tremendous student, Schule was being courted by a handful of division one programs, but in the end chose Northeastern.

"In talking with Pat he really took a liking to assistant coach, Jerry Keefe. He also heard great things from current Northeastern defenseman and Hitmen alumni, Trevor Owens, and loved the idea of being in the city of Boston. He also mentioned that NU had a great reputation academically and he was excited to play for such a well-respected coach in Jim Madigan." Harris finished, "I have no doubt that I will be watching Patty jumping off the glass in Matthews Arena (one of his trademarked goal celebrations) in the very near future. Northeastern is getting a tremendous player, a high character person, a leader and top notch teammate. I look forward to what lies ahead for Patty...."

Schule becomes the 15th division one commitment from the Hitmen organization this season. He will join current Northeastern defenseman, and ex-teammate, Trevor Owens, as well as 18U alumni, Grant Jozefek, in a Huskie uniform next year.
