Wayne NJ – The Jersey Hitmen USPHL Elite Hockey Club is proud to announce that forward Ian Malone has committed to attend and play for Stevenson University for the upcoming 2016/17 season.

Head coach Dan Henningson on Ian’s commitment, “Stevenson is getting a high energy guy that is a leader on and off the ice.  Ian is everything we look for when recruiting players for the Jersey Hitmen: competitive, committed, unselfish and caring.  His work ethic is unparalleled and contagious.  Ian is perfect fit to help Stevenson kick off their inaugural season!”

Ian finished the season with 4 goals and 10 assists and was among the team leaders in blocked shots, finished-hits and plus/minus. “Blocking shots is a skill and Ian worked really hard at getting big and eating pucks. His speed and relentless pursuit of the puck will translate to the next level,” coach Henningson added.

Stevenson University’s inaugural season is set for 2016-17 where the Mustangs will be joining the ECAC West, NCAA Division III.  Former Division III coach of the year Dominick Dawes will be the head coach for Stevenson.
