Wayne, NJ - The Jersey Hitmen are proud to announce that rookie defenseman, Daniel Woolfenden, has committed to Williams College for the fall of 2017. Rated the #1 liberal arts school in America by US News and World Report, Williams plays in one of the top college hockey divisions in the country, the NESCAC.

A smooth skating, 200 foot defenseman, Woolfenden, came to the Hitmen from prep powerhouse, Culver Academy. "We invited Daniel to come out and play with us in the USPHL Summer Classic back in July and he was extremely impressive right from the start," commented Premier head coach, Toby Harris. "Daniel showed up to the showcase in tremendous shape. Got up and down the ice very well, and was able to defend and distribute the puck with great poise. On top of that, he showed the ability to jump up, join the play and add offense. Needless to say, we really liked his game, and offered him before the weekend showcase ended." Harris continued, "Woolfenden, really fit in well with our style and more importantly into the culture in our locker room. He is an extremely intelligent young man, tireless worker and top notch character kid. The future is bright for Daniel and Williams hockey."

In 23 games this season, Woolfenden, has posted a 4-6-10 scoring line. He is also tied for team lead in shorthanded goals (1) and tied for goals by a defenseman (4). Woolfenden becomes the 12th Hitmen college commitment for the season and first commitment to a NESCAC school.
