Charlotte Rush's Andrew Williamson Commits to New York University

The Charlotte Rush is extremely proud and excited to announce that 6’4 Troy MI native, Andrew Williamson has committed to New York University, a top ranked academic school in the nation. Williamson who joined the Charlotte Rush this season has had an incredible impact  on the Charlotte Rush team and organization. 
 
Head Coach Ryan Cruthers on Andrew Williamson : ”We are very excited for Andrew.  Willy is a very smart man and had a number of NCAA options to decide from, for him he valued the education and hockey program that NYU has. He is going to a tremendous University and is getting the opportunity to play under an outstanding coach in Chris Cosentino.  We are very proud of all of Andrew’s accomplishments this season."
 
NYU Head Coach Chris Cosentino on Andrew Williamson: "We are extremely excited to welcome Andrew to the NYU Hockey family.  Coming from one of the top junior programs on the east coast, he has received the necessary guidance from Coach Cruthers that will allow him to make an immediate impact for us next season both on and off the ice.  We know we are getting an elite student/athlete with incredible character coming from an even better family."
 
Andrew Williamson on his commitment to NYU : “I couldn't be happier to make my college commitment to New York University. Their top academics and strong hockey program made it an easy decision. I would like to thank Coach Cruthers, Coach Jewell, and Coach Cinelli for all their help in developing me to become a college hockey player. I'd like to also thank my teammates for pushing me everyday to be the best player I can be. Finally I'd like to thank my family for their years of support and all the sacrifices they've made to help me become the person I am today.”
