Charlotte Rush Elite Extends Win streak to 18 Games, USP3 to Eight

Charlotte, NC: The Charlotte Rush returned home to the Extreme Ice Center after a long twenty game road schedule.  The Rush USP3 team extended their win streak to eight games and fifteen of their last sixteen, while the Elite push their win streak to a season high eighteen games.
 
On Saturday night the USP3 team backed behind a 34 save performance from Anthony Keating defeated the Carolina Eagles 6-1.  Erick Hirschhaut, Jimmy Gold, and Mark Kishko all had multi point performances, while twelve different skaters recorded a point.  On Sunday the Rush jumped out to an early 4-1 lead, only to see it disappear with both teams tied at 4 going into the 3rd period.  52 seconds into the third Logan Baldwin scored for the Rush for what would be the game winner, the USP3 Rush would add two more for a 7-4 victory.  2000 birth year goaltender Anthony Keating would record his 15th victory of the season.

 

The Elite Charlotte Rush were victorious on Saturday night by a score of 6-1 over the Carolina Eagles.  John Aureliano was fantastic in net once again pushing his unbeaten streak to thirteen.  Joe Palermo, Nick Yzaguirre, Kyle Podwika, and Gabriel Vanier all had multi point performances while 12 different skaters recorded a point.  On Sunday behind another solid goaltending performance from John Aureliano the Rush recorded their 18th straight win 4-2.  Taylor Bommarito had two goals while Matthew Headland added two assists.  Aureliano pushed his win streak to 14 games.  The Rush are off this weekend before facing the Hampton Roads Whalers in the regular season finale at home.
