Congratulations to Premier Goalie, Kyle Martin on his commitment to Franklin Pierce University for the fall of 2018!
 

The Northern Cyclones Premier team is proud to announce their 7th college commitment of the 2017-2018 season. Kyle Martin has committed to Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, NH. The 1998-born goalie came to the Cyclones this season after playing a Post-Grad year at Phillips Andover in Andover, MA. At Andover last season Kyle posted a 2.74 GAA and a .921 Save percentage.

Before Andover, Kyle played two seasons at St. Johns Prep where he won the MIAA Super 8 Championship in his junior season and came up one win short of repeating in his senior season. The Westford, MA native is an athletic goaltender who is a proven puck stopper everywhere he has played.

This past season Kyle has a record of 8-8-1 record, a 2.74 GAA, and a .900 save percentage for the Cyclones premier team. Martin has come up big this season for the Cyclones with impressive wins over the South Shore Kings on January 24th, and back to back wins in December against the Islanders Hockey Club and Boston Bandits.  
 
Franklin Pierce University is a private university in Rindge, NH and they compete in the NE-10. The hockey team is currently 2-10-1 in the NE-10 and 6-17-1 overall this season. Franklin Pierce will be looking for Kyle to have an impact right away and Kyle couldn’t be happier. When he was asked about his commitment and time with the Cyclones he had this to say;
 
“I’m extremely excited to spend the next four years studying and playing hockey at Franklin Pierce! I’m hoping to step in and contribute to the team right away. Thank you to everyone who made my goal of playing college hockey possible.”

“Although I have only been with the organization for one year, I’m grateful for my time as a Cyclone. The competition has helped me grow as both a player and person. Coach Weiand is not only focused on winning, but also helping players get to the next level.”
