This young man does not have a low gear. He has a very high compete level. One of the most dedicated and determined young men who ever wore an Eels Jersey.

SCOUTING REPORT:

Alec Parr has great size at 6’4” 185 pounds.  is always firing hard on all cylinders. He takes nothing for granted. In fact, he instills Eels philosophy that we take no shift off, no period is taken lightly and no game for granted. He knows full well games are won or lost long before the players get to the game.  He always arrived at practices 2 -3 hours before each session. He watches countless hours of game film going over previous games and upcoming opponents. He is a player who buys into the college prep system the Eels train for; he is always dialed in and emotionally invested. It is not about individual accolades for Parr.  I want to also add that Alec is a high character individual.  He is a tall rangy defensive defenseman whose wingspan and large stick make him hard to beat on one on ones. One of the hardest working individuals you’ll meet, who takes his craft more serious than almost anyone we’ve ever had. This kid makes you earn your ice and will do absolutely anything to win.

Parr looks forward to playing for Trine University. The excitement emanating from the entire school – the coaches: Alex Todd and Austin Keiser (NCAA team) or  coach Dan Mayes from the ACHA team; the school administration and players is truly effervescing  The academic program is a perfect fit for his educational pursuits as well. He loves everything about Trine and looks forward to playing hockey for the Trine Thunder.

He comes from a very supportive family who has made enormous sacrifices to make his dreams of playing college hockey a reality.

A huge congrats to Alec. He will be missed having been a fixture of the Eels program for 4 seasons. We wish him the best of luck.
