Wesley Chapel, FL - The Tampa Bay Juniors Hockey Club is proud to announce that Premier Defenseman Christian Louria has committed to ACHA Division I Rochester Institute of Technology.

Louria, from Wexford, PA, was a USPHL Southern Division All Star this past season with Tampa.  In 48 games Christian had 9 goals with 21 assist and a +23.

“Christian came to us just after the season started and right away you saw his skill and that he would be a difference maker," said Head Coach Garrett Strot.  "He was so good in the defensive zone with his awareness and calmness with the puck.  R.I.T picked up an elite defenseman.”

“Playing for the Tampa Bay Juniors was great for my development as a player and a person."  said Christian, "The experienced coaching staff and exceptional facilities made it a memorable year for me and helped me get to the next level.”

“Christian had multiple NCAA schools talking too him,"  said Strot, "but in the end he felt R.I.T was the best fit for him academically and to continue playing hockey.”

The Tampa Bay Juniors wish Christian and his family the best of luck as he continues on to the next chapter of his life.

Christian is the 8th TBJ player to commit to a college this year.
