NCDC Entry Draft Set for Wednesday, May 17, 2017

Boston, MA - The United States Premier Hockey League is proud to announce the 2017-18 National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) Entry Draft to be held on Wednesday, May 17; three days after the conclusion of the USPHL Spring Showcase in Marlborough.  The NCDC Entry Draft will be a twelve-round draft which will allow NCDC organizations an equal opportunity to build their teams with star players competing in North America and Europe.

The National Collegiate Development Conference
This new tuition-free division of the USPHL is a league that will be comprised of players who are committed to NCAA Division 1 teams, or those who can achieve NCAA Division 1 commitments.   The NCDC will be consist of 11 teams located in five states, ranging from southern New Hampshire to its western boundary of Rochester, New York.  With all the NCDC competitors concentrated in a small geographic footprint, the USPHL minimizes travel time to away games and causes minimal disruption to players’ schooling and training.
 
Affiliate Program
Each NCDC program has affiliate relationships with three teams in the USPHL Premier Division for the coming season.  Each NCDC team and its affiliates will work together to facilitate player progression within the league.  Each USPHL Premier team will send a minimum three different players to its NCDC affiliate practices, evaluation and games during the season.   The Premier Division teams will feature open tryouts which will include a coach, scout or other hockey operations personnel from each team’s NCDC affiliate to allow players to be immediately evaluated for suitability for the tuition-free top level.
