The Rochester Jr Monarchs are proud to announce that forward Bryan Bandyk has committed to play hockey at Iowa State for the 2017-18 season.  Bandyk was an essential piece to the Monarchs’ successful inaugural season as he tallied 12 goals and 10 assists in 43 games.

“Bryan was someone that I saw at the Chowder Cup last year and knew I had to get him.  He’s got great size, uses it well, and can also chip in on the offensive end as well.  Iowa State is not only getting a good hockey player, but they are getting an even better person off the ice.  I am very happy for Bryan and his family with this commitment” said GM/Head Coach Dave Leaderer.

“I’m excited to join Iowa State University.  I could not have done it without Coach Dave and the rest of the coaching staff at the Rochester Monarchs.” – Bryan Bandyk

Bandyk is now the 5th player from the 2016-17 Monarchs team that has committed to play college hockey after their junior career.
